SWIMMING AND ROPE BRIDGE
Must be supervised with a minimum of two experienced adults at all times for 20 or less swimmers, thereafter one more supervisor for each additional 10 swimmers. i.e.
1 - 20 swimmers - two supervisors
21 - 30 swimmers - three supervisors
31 - 40 swimmers - four supervisors etc.
Supervisors must pay attention to swimmers at all times, and must never read a book or be distracted for any reason.
A replacement supervisor must be appointed before any supervisor leaves the job.
Only confident swimmers are to use the rope bridge.
No life jackets are to be worn while swimming or using the rope bridge.
If swimming across the lake or around the corner then a supervisor must be on the far bank or around the corner whichever or both is the case.
No swimming in clothes other than a tee shirt or togs unless a qualified instructor is instructing in life saving.
No gumboots to be worn while swimming or using the rope bridge.
Do not throw foreign objects into the lake.
The swimming area must be surveyed for foreign objects before use.
No swimming or using the rope bridge after dark.
Use sunblock or suncream on hot days.
If waterslide is in use do not swim near it.
